Room-C Games is expanding its roster to tackle a challenging and exciting AA project with our partner Versus Evil.

We're looking for a talented 3D Artist to join our growing studio and help us bring an extraordinary game world to life in Unreal Engine 5!

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality 3D characters (both humanoids and creatures), weapons, armor, environment props, and other various organic 3D models.

  • Creating high-quality 3D hard surface vehicles, weapons and environment props.

  • Creating game-ready assets with:

    • Low-poly, issue-free topology - either via polygonal modeling or hard surface sculpting + retopology.

    • Optimal UV unwrapping.

    • Hand-painted color map textures.

    • Baked normal maps.

  • Importing assets into Unreal Engine and configuring materials and/or blueprints.

  • Mentoring, research and assistance in art direction.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience and at least one video game shipped.

  • Proficiency in any 3D software (Blender, ZBrush, Mudbox, 3D Coat, etc).

  • Proficiency in any texturing software (Substance Painter, Quixel, Mudbox, 3D Coat, etc).

  • Strong technical skills in polygonal modeling, sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping and baking.

  • A keen eye for shape, silhouette, color and light.

  • Understanding of modern game engines and physically-based rendering pipelines (PBR).

  • Technical background with understanding and mindfulness of polygon budgets and texel densities.

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.

  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken).

  • Passion for video games, and for honing your craft.

Bonus points:

  • Any shipped titles or experience working on consoles (PlayStation, Xbox or Switch).

  • Experience with agile methodology and issue tracking software (such as Jira).
